Men’s relay team miss out on medals posted by Steve Ballinger on20-07-2010
The GB men’s relay team of Sam Weale, Nick Woodbridge and Jamie Cooke couldn’t add to Britain’s medal haul in the final event of the Modern Pentathlon European Championships in Hungary.
The trio finished ninth in the men’s team relay in Debrecen today (Tuesday). The team did clock the fastest time of the day in the pool. Gold went to the host nation.
Philipp Waeffler, National Coach, said: “It just wasn’t our day today.”
It means the British team will return home from the championships with a brace of medals after Weale won an individual silver medal and the women’s team of Heather Fell, Katy Livingston and Mhairi Spence won team bronze.
