News Flash - Silvers for Cooke and Girls Team posted by on19-09-2008
Jamie Cooke has just had a performacne of his life by winning the Silver medal at World Youth A Championships in Albena. This was mirrored by the girls team who also won Silver medal at the Youth A World Championships behind Hungary.

66 boys and 14 teams
Jamie Cooke 187 1st, swam 1.55.92 1st overall after 2, 1st with 2592 points
Jack Legon 177 13th, swam 2.06 .90 14th, overall after 2, 13th
Daniel Worrall 170 37th , swam 2.10.94 34th, overall after 2, 30th
Steven Mason 161 45th, swam 2.08.15 20th , overall after 2, 45th
Team: Cooke, Legon and Worrall in 1st place after 2 with 7140pts. RUS 2nd 7100pts and POL 3rd 7088pts

Girls now fencing and not wanting to jinx them they are on fire and fencing really well. That said we are at round 6 with 18 to go !
All in all a cracking morning and probably could not have asked for more from these young athletes. Both teams in 1st place, individual boy leader overnight and personal best performances at the world championship. Hard work paying dividends
