Chloe Johnson on the OCR at the Cairo World Cup

Pentathlon GB made a promising start to the 2026 season at World Cup 1 in Cairo, with a series of standout performances across the team.

Poppy Clark led the way with an outstanding top 10 finish on her World Cup debut, delivering a composed and confident performance against a strong international field. Chloe Johnson also continued her progression in Cairo, reaching the final in her first-ever World Cup appearance and underlining her potential on the senior stage.

There were further positives throughout the squad. Charlie Brown and Olivia Green both progressed to the semi-finals in their first major competition of the season, gaining valuable experience and showing encouraging early form.

Elsewhere, Sebastian Forrest, Ross Charlton and Eva Marsh all secured important qualification experience, laying solid foundations as they continue to build into the season and target future competitions.

With World Cup 1 setting the tone, Pentathlon GB can take plenty of confidence into the rest of the 2026 season as the team looks to build momentum in the months ahead.
